I wouldn't thin unless you need to. Throw some in the gun, spray a sample and let it dry. Most times I don't feel the need to thin the water based stuff very much (at least the brands I work with). If you do need to thin, don't add too much. Maybe...

i was listening to your's and Matts podcast this morning (have more time to catch up on listening now).
I noted with interest how custom work is so much different. I recently made a new headboard for the bedroom that incorporated a flaw (branch opening) as part of the center. Also that the coffee table I've made in 3" higher than standard - to make it easier to eat dinner at, now that there is just my wife and I at home.
In any event, thanks for the Woodtalk and your own Wood Whisperer podcasts.
