Just finished this jewelry box for my wife. Claro walnut, dovetailed with makore and tiger maple inlay. also mahogany and cocobolo details. Interior of box has elevated smaller box with mitered splined construction. Brass hardware made from bar stock. finish is shellac and arm-r-seal.

Now comes the hard part-filling it. What was the most rewarding part for you on this project? Looks very nice, and I was just wondering what is Makore like to work with. I have never used it but it seems to becoming more popular.

Thanks! I only used makore for the inlay, so I don't feel I could give an accurate response. I have a feeling it is something like curly cherry though. Thanks!

Wow Wow Wow! Nicely executed and beautiful choice of woods! Man that Arm-R-Seal really brings out the natural beauty in the wood. Nicely done!
